During the funeral ceremony for martyrs Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Sayyed Hashem Safi al-Din, the general secretary of the Islamic Resistance Movement of Lebanon (Hezbollah), Sheikh Naim Qassem, said that “resistance is faith and right” so it will continue to exist.

“Resistance is faith and right; it is the life of free peoples and it is the right to liberation, and no one can take this right away from us,” Naim Qassem told those present at the Kamil Shamoon stadium in the Sports City.

As he dismissed “an historic, exceptional, national, Arab and Islamic leader who became a beacon for the free of the world,” he stated that Sayyed Nasrallah led resistance to the nation, and vice versa, “until both were merged into one heart.”

“We have confronted the Israeli entity and, behind it, the greatest tyrant, the United States, which attacked Gaza, Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, and Iran,” he asserted.

Similarly, he emphasized the steadfastness of the resistance fighters. At the same time, he indicated that a mobilization like that of this Sunday had never been seen in the history of Lebanon and referred to the people with descriptors such as loyal, generous, and invincible.

Regarding the ceasefire agreement, Naim Qassem highlighted that Hezbollah accepted the enemy’s request to cease hostilities because it has no interest in continuing to fight without political or military horizons.

In this regard, Naim Qassem noted Israel’s failure to comply with the pact. “Here is where the responsibility of the Lebanese state begins, after the deadline of the agreement for the enemy’s withdrawal ends.”
